Membership

The Union of Free Zone Associations

In total there are 19 Free Zones in Turkey. In the course of time Antalya Free Zone Business Association were established in six of them. Namely Antalya Free Zone Business Association (ASBIAD), Bursa Free Zone Business Association (BUSBIAD),  Aegean Free Zone Association of Industry and Business (ESBIAD), Kayseri Free Zone Business Association (KASBIAD), Kocaeli Shipbuilders’ Association (KOSTBIR) and Mersin Free Zone Users Association (MESBAK).

 

The principal objective of the Associations is to represent the interests of the companies that are located in those Free Zones. 

Turnover of the companies that are under the aegis of those seven associations is $8 billion. Besides employment numbers reached 40000 people. This means that Antalya Free Zone Business Association represent a majority of the companies. 

The Union of Free Zone Associations was created in 2009 after the meeting of these six Free Zone Associations whose aim was Free Zones’ rapid development by creating synergy between each other.

 

AYIK Antalya High Advisory Council

AYIK, a Council under the auspices of Antalya governorate, consists of non-governmental organizations, city authorities, 28 foundations, 30 business people and opinion leaders. The Council aims at solving socio-economic issues, industry challenges, launching and investing into promising projects, contributing to urban awareness and social solidarity in Antalya,  strengthening the abilities of Civil Society Organizations and improving cooperation between them, preserving nature, culture, language, history and other historical heritages and values, consolidating their unity and harmonious co-existence, supporting gender equality and social groups separately, improving and providing security and equal access for all to health and education services, ensuring sustainable management of the environment.

TOBB The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The Union that was launched in 2006 consists of 61 Councils.

 

Turkish Free Trade Zones Council, TOBB unit, plays an important role in the development of the industry as it represents the whole sector. The Council with its coherent strategies and clear vision has more functions than its counterparts around the world covering not only regional industry issues but international ones as well. It aims at coordination between the private and public sectors boosting industry development. 

ASBIAD in its turn is Turkish Free Trade Zones Council member.
